| | I was surfing the Internet all afternoon yesterday. And just as normal, a QQ system message poped out and read that an earthquake hit Sichuan Province at 2:28 pm, and people in many other provinces, including the capital Beijing could feel it. I didn't pay much attention on that news message and closed it after reading. But not long after I saw some of my buddies on my Xiaonei (Chinese Facebook) updated their status like "Damn, I felt an earthquake!" Many of my buddies on Xiaonei are university students in Beijing. Wow, even they could feel the earthquake in Sichuan Province! My curiosity began to grow, and I was wondering how big the earthquake really was. And later, I found a picture uploaded on Xiaonei by a Tibetan student which was captured from the website of Sichuan Provincial Government and showed an article about rumors of a coming earthquake were disaffirmmed by Sichuan Earthquake Bureau. What a big mistake the Earthquake Bureau has done! I began to feel angry at it, and captured a picture of the article on the website by myself as a proof, in case it would be deleted soon. And, yes, it was deleted later. But Beijing government reacted quickly. Rescue has been sent there. And our Premier Wen Jiabao also went there, and ordered all the soldiers to try the best to save lives, in spite of the rain. But it is reported that nearly ten thousand people have been found dead, and seven thousand nearly the earthquake center are out of communication with the outside. Many schools and hospitals have collapsed. People in Sichuan Province dare not to stay indoors after the main earthquake, because smaller earthquakes or aftershocks continuously came to hit. It's a total catastrophe to our country! It reminds me of 911 in the States, and my eyes were wet last night when I was in bed, thinking about the people who were staying outdoors overnight. Below are ome pictures from a Tibetan student on Xiaonei, showing the students of Southeastern University of China sleeping on the ground outdoors.
